Hello all you lovely people. I’m guessing you’re reading this because like me, you also have a slight obsession with all things makeup, including brushes and applicators. I decided to write a post and make a video showing a few brushes which I think are really good for applying your makeup.
This is completely unbiased and has a range of prices.
- H and M kabuki brush My exact rose gold isn’t there, but here’s a similar kabuki brush!
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage…
I picked up this amazing kabuki brush from H and M and it’s just excellent for doing final sweeps of your face to make sure it’s all blended. It was so cheap, the bristles are lovely and soft, and they don’t come out when washing!
- Ecotools face and body beauty brush
https://ecotools.com/blog/2013/01/29/…
I got the ecotools face and body sculpting brush as I wanted something that I could use to add to extra blend in my cheek and jawline contour. Again the bristles are really soft and I love how dense the bristles are!
- Bare minerals flawless application facial brush
https://www.bareminerals.co.uk/full-f…
I got this brush as part of the starter set that I bought and I really love it. Although I’ve used it for powder foundation and general powders, I’ve recently just been using it for blushers and bronzers because it blends well and doesn’t scratch my face (this is important especially if you have sensitive skin).
- Real techniques blush brush
https://www.superdrug.com/Real-Techni…
This was the first real techniques brush that I bought and it’s just a miracle brush. The bristles are so soft, the colour is lovely, the handle has extra grip, and the price is amazing. I often find myself reaching for this over some of my more expensive brushes.
- Real techniques setting brush
https://www.lookfantastic.com/real-te… https://www.nyxcosmetics.co.uk/more/b…
I really like to use this brush for my highlighter since it applies so nice and blended. This is particularly important for highlighter which can sometimes go a really extreme at times. I really like the soft bristles and it’s just a really lovely size.
- MAC 224 brush
http://www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/m…
This is hands down my favourite mac brush. I just love this for blending and smoking out shadows particularly on the crease line. Blending is the key to awesome eyeshadow so this brush is a must for those who like to apply lots of shadow.
- Makeup geek buffer brush
https://www.beautybay.com/p/makeup-ge…
I invested in my first ever makeup geek brush and I love to use it to blend and chisel out my contour. I don’t have to scrub, the brush just does the job for me. It’s really nice to use and I love the streamlined handle.
- Vital radiance concealer brush (amazing price)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Revlon-Vital…
I got this brush for like £2 online and it’s just fantastic to use with a concealer to sharpen up my brows. The pointed edge gives me that extra precision.
- Nyx cosmetics professional blend brush
https://www.nyxcosmetics.co.uk/more/brushes/pro-blending-brush/NYX_219.html
This brush is comparable to the above mentioned 212 brush. It’s incredibly soft, it blends my eyeshadows so well without brushing for ages and its so cheap! This I comparable to some high ends for a fraction of the price. Even if you’re on a budget, you can always find good quality brushes!
- Inglot winged liner brush 30T
https://inglotcosmetics.com/brushes/e…
I wanted to find an angled liner brush and I really wanted to try the inglot 30T brush which did not disappoint. It applies really precise, it doesn’t hurt or dig into my eyelid and it works amazingly with their gel black eyeliner which is sooooo good! You need to check them out!
- Mac cosmetics 212 flat definer brush
https://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/produc…
This brush is brilliant for neatening up eyebrows or using it to apply my cream cut crease products. It’s so precise and it is a joy to use.
- Eyeshadow makeup brush set
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eye-Make-U…
Finally, you should get some cheap blender brushes for eyeshadows online if you’re on a budget and use a lot of shadows. I recommend using a different brush for different colours and then you can really make the colours stand out.
Hope this has been helpful for you and would love to hear if you guys have tried these or if you have any recommendations for makeup brushes. Here’s the link to the video if you want to take a look!
